As you note, the evidence favors it. The story has been around since the late '70s, and we have a statement from someone involved. In addition, we have other statements from clergy attesting to the fact that everyone (and we mean EVERYONE) knew about the one-handed orders.

But, as we've said, our point is not to prove it happened. Our position is that Dolan should have sought conditional orders as the safer course.

The European is not SSPV. He was SSPX.The Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09191910319072202603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-426244098779533128.post-13898432293107639942014-11-30T02:26:04.433-05:002014-11-30T02:26:04.433-05:00"The archbishop is ALWAYS RIGHT." Or Bp...."The archbishop is ALWAYS RIGHT." Or Bp. Sanborn. Or Bp. Fellay. Or Bp. Williamson. Or nonpope Francis. Or the Dimond brothers. Cult-like mentalities are everywhere and part of these great confusions of "Traditionalism". The problem is that they often all hold mutually incompatible views. Hence, they cannot all be right. I'm going with pope Michael, because I believe his writing and position is sound. Bp. Dolan either was or was not validly consecrated. Perhaps you should organize some kind of internet effort to definitively sort this out. Then again, for me I would like him to come into communion with the pope and who knows if he would function as a bishop or if he would be assigned to help in a monastery, or what.

As regards the one Europeon eyewitness, I thought that the whole SSPV basically signed off as accepting the "one hand" theory or that they also saw it, as per the letter you have shared on your Scribd, so the evidence favors the "one hand" theory as much as I'm aware of.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
